The 2010 French Powerbocking Contest is kindly being hosted by the town of SARREBOURG.
A town that is discrete, but harbors many surprises.
Close to the Vosges and Alsace regions, Sarrebourg is a rich, diverse, growing city!
Indeed, it has many facets ... Sarrebourg maintains a peaceful aspect, with a deep respect of nature. The hundreds of hectares of forests and lakes surrounding the city are much appreciated by its residents.
Despite this, Sarrebourg is also a busy place, with a total of 32,000 residents in the greater city. It lies at the heart of the dynamic Lorraine region and is in the center of the Metz - Nancy - Strasbourg triangle. Several companies have moved to this area to take advantage of its admirable wealth.
In addition to a cinema, a library, a pool, and a lake, the town offers many sports facilities: a golf course, tennis courts, a pétanque boulodrome, an athletic stadium, a skatepark, etc. It is hardly surprising then that numerous sports clubs are flourishing: archery, athletics, football, handball, diving, swimming, dancing, fencing, martial arts, scouting, and of course the jumping stilts club: Hoff Riser !

We booked the "Centre St Martin" in Sarrebourg. This hostel has 29 beds.
We have already pre-booked other accommodation alternatives. More information will be released when we have a better idea of the number of participants intending to come.
We even have a field for those wishing to camp.
The Sarrebourg athletics track has been reserved for us. Therefore, sun willing, we will be able to make the best use of it!
If, despite our prayers, it happens to rain, the French Contest will be held indoors, as we have also booked Sarrebourg's enormous, fully equipped gymnasium.

Ville à la fois surprenante et discrète...
Aux portes des Vosges et de l’Alsace, Sarrebourg est riche de sa diversité. La ville est en plein essor !
En effet, elle offre de multiples facettes… Sarrebourg s’emploie à conserver un coté paisible, proche de la nature… ! Les centaines d’hectares de forêts et d’étangs qui entourent la ville sont beaucoup appréciées des habitants.
Malgré cela, Sarrebourg est une ville toujours en mouvement avec son agglomération la ville compte 32 000 habitants. Elle se situe au cœur d’une région dynamique, la Lorraine. Mais elle se trouve également au centre du triangle Metz – Nancy – Strasbourg ; de nombreuses entreprises s’implantent sur cette commune, véritable vecteur de richesses. Sarrebourg et sa région offrent aux industriels un environnement économique de qualité.
En plus d’un cinéma, d’une bibliothèque, d’une piscine, d’un plan d’eau,… la ville dispose de bon nombre d’équipements sportifs : terrain de golf, terrain de tennis, boulodrome, stade, skatepark, etc… Il est donc tout naturel que fleurissent de nombreuses associations sportives : tir à l’arc, athlétisme, football, handball, plongée, natation, danse, escrime, arts martiaux, scoutisme, ainsi que le club d’échasses urbaines : Hoff Riser !

Nous avons d'ores et déjà pré-reservé d'autres structures... Nous aviserons en fonction du nombre de participants au FCB2010 ! ;)
Nous disposons même d'un terrain pour le camping...
La piste d'athlétisme de Sarrebourg est réservée ! Nous pourrons ainsi en profiter pleinement si le temps le permet...
Si malgré nos supplications, la pluie venait à être de la partie, nous aurions toujours une solution de repli : un grand gymnase !
